A coalition of Catholic Sisters and allies for gun violence prevention
Join us for the third installment of our webinar series spotlighting state-level efforts in gun violence prevention. This session focuses on Missouri—ranked 48th out of 50 states for gun law strength by Giffords Law Center—where determined advocates are pushing for change.
Nuns Against Gun Violence is a coalition of Catholic Sisters and their allies that affirms the value of human life through prayer, education, and advocacy for common sense, evidence-based gun violence prevention.
We take a three-pronged approach to addressing gun violence
Understanding is the first step toward change. We provide resources and learning opportunities to deepen awareness of the realities of gun violence and evidence-based violence prevention strategies.
Our faith compels us to act. Join us by participating in initiatives and partnerships aimed at influencing evidence-based legislation that will reduce gun violence and support affected communities.
Nuns Against Gun Violence was founded in April 2023 when a group of justice and peace promoters recognized the need to collaborate on this pressing issue. They created this organization to bring together congregations of Catholic sisters to speak with a united voice against the crisis of gun violence. We now have supporters from coast to coast in all 50 states.
